About the project
Rotageek was preparing for Retail Technology Show 2026 at ExCeL London, with plans for a bigger and stronger exhibition presence than the previous year.
VP of Marketing Stefanie Carr approached Natalie directly to manage the project, having previously worked together as part of the marketing team at SD Worx. There was already an established working relationship and trust in Natalie’s ability to take ownership of the event and deliver it.
Natalie was brought in to manage the project from planning through to setup, working directly with Stefanie and Rotageek’s Marketing Director and bringing in trusted suppliers through McDonnell Marketing to support the delivery.
the challenge
The client already had their stand space confirmed for Retail Technology Show, but wanted to make much better use of the footprint and create a stronger presence at the 2026 event.
New messaging and updated artwork needed to be incorporated into the stand, alongside dedicated demo areas, AV, storage and a layout that worked well for both demonstrations and conversations with visitors.
With a busy internal marketing team and a fixed event deadline, they needed someone experienced to take ownership of the detailed planning, manage the suppliers and keep everything moving.

Working together
Natalie provided a single point of ownership across the project, working directly with their senior marketing team while managing the wider delivery, suppliers, budget and event requirements.
A clear project management structure was put in place from the outset, giving the team visibility of progress, budget, key decisions and upcoming milestones throughout the planning period. Regular senior-level updates kept Rotageek involved where input or approval was needed, without requiring them to manage the day-to-day delivery.
Behind this, Natalie maintained oversight of the individual workstreams, from the exhibition organiser and stand build through to suppliers, brand assets and event logistics, identifying priorities and resolving issues as the project progressed.
With budget reconciliation and project controls managed throughout, the client had an accurate view of spend and commitments, with the final event delivered under budget and to deadline.
exhibition planning and delivery
Natalie took overall responsibility for translating Rotageek’s objectives for Retail Technology Show into a fully managed exhibition project, from the initial brief through to final delivery.
This included developing the stand brief, identifying and appointing the right specialist partners and overseeing the delivery across stand design and build, brand implementation, AV, merchandise and wider exhibition requirements.
Through McDonnell Marketing’s trusted supplier network, Natalie was able to bring together experienced partners she knew could deliver, while retaining overall responsibility for the project, budget and final outcome.
The result was a stronger exhibition presence that made better use of their existing footprint and height, incorporated the company’s new messaging and created an effective environment for demonstrations, conversations and meetings throughout the show.
On-site Delivery
Natalie remained responsible for the project through to the final build and handover at ExCeL, providing continuity from the initial planning through to the finished exhibition space.
Onsite, she oversaw the stand build and coordinated the suppliers brought into the project through McDonnell Marketing, managing final delivery and snagging and ensuring the physical space, AV and technology were ready ahead of the show opening.
Natalie managed the different delivery partners as one joined-up project, maintaining oversight of quality, deadlines and the final result.
With the operational detail already taken care of, Rotageek’s marketing team could arrive ready to focus on their customers, prospects and the event itself.
the finished experience
The finished stand gave the client a stronger presence at Retail Technology Show, making better use of the available footprint and height while creating a space that worked effectively for both product demonstrations and conversations.
Rotageek’s updated messaging and artwork were incorporated throughout the stand, alongside dedicated demo areas, AV and branded touchpoints, creating a clear and consistent experience across the space.
The project was delivered to deadline and under budget, with the finished stand ready for the team ahead of the show opening.
